The chakra system is a model of the bodies energy system that relates energy centres to physical locations in the body. This system assists in understanding the vibrational healing aspect of the Pitta Patta range. There are seven core chakras, as can be seen in the diagram opposite. The chakras record the physical, emotional and spiritual influences in a child’s life journey, ranging from social interactions to personal life achievements. Every experience is recorded within a related chakra from the time they are in their mother’s womb. These influences alter the vibration of individual chakras; some influences may cause imbalances requiring realignment for maintenance of a healthy system.

The Welcome to the World and Rescue & Relax lines work with all the chakras to bring balance to the energy system as a whole. The Welcome to the World line focuses predominately on the heart chakra of a newborn on arrival and prior to the birth through the application to the newborn and to the mother’s tummy respectively. Siblings often find the arrival of another little person into their worlds challenging and through the nourishment of the heart chakra this line can also support brothers and sisters at this great time of change.

The Rescue & Relax line specifically supports the sacral chakra through the blend of gem essences and essential oils and the orange symbol on the bottle, this chakra is connected to self-confidence and stability. This line can support any situation where a child needs to feel centered and self-assured. Alex has found this works particularly well with her 3 year old son Jago. When he is displaying signs of being ungrounded she has found that he will often choose this line and his temperament changes from being very reactive and fractious to being self-assured and content.

Freedom to Express line works predominately with the solar plexus and is associated with the colour yellow. This chakra is connected to personal power, will, autonomy and ego. A child who is fearful or shy has possibly experienced a situation that has caused the solar plexus to be compromised. The Freedom to Express line will activate and support the solar plexus bringing joy and comfort to the little person. The Freedom to Express line will also support toddlers who are experiencing the birth of the ego and may assist in releasing pent up frustration associated with the ego.

The Calm and Content line helps to activate the heart and throat chakras, hence the use of the blue symbol. The throat chakra is linked to all forms of communication and creativity and is useful for a child who is feeling frustrated at not being able to communicate in a way that is readily understood. Sometimes children become frustrated trying unsuccessfully, to communicate their feelings and needs. Similarly parents may feel frustrated, as their own feelings and needs are not being met. The opening of the heart chakra with this line can bring about a sense of compassion and empathy towards others. Family meetings can be a way to address the wants and needs of the whole house, massage some of the Calm and Content cream around the throat area and experience clear and honest communication.
